The staff and students at All Hallows are committed to supporting those in need, students actively fund raise for a number of charities that are close to their hearts; some of those that have benefited from fundraising this year and in previous years are listed below.
The Imibala Trust
The Imibala Sponsor a Child programme assists children from less fortunate communities to attend primary and high school. R900 will buy a school uniform for a child at primary school and encourage them to attend for a year. Support for a high school learner is R1000. Access to education gives these children a better chance in the future to enter the workforce and earn a living.
St Ann’s Hospice
St Ann’s Hospice cares and helps around 3,000 patients (over the age of 16) and their families and carers every year who are affected by cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses. We deliver care that is special and unique to each individual person. Around 40% of inpatients at St Ann’s Hospice return home after treatment.
CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. We provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life. We are there from diagnosis onwards and aim to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.
Are a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. It's not only patients who live with cancer, they also help carers, families and communities.
