Transition

Moving from primary to secondary school is an exciting and significant event in the life of every child. At All Hallows RC High School, we aim to give each pupil the best possible start in secondary education working together with primary schools, pupils and parents.

We believe that all pupils can succeed with the inclusive, consistent transition support offered at All Hallows. By providing a variety of opportunities including induction/taster days and summer school, we aim to help pupils familiarise themselves with their new environment, meet their peers and explore different subjects and activities, ultimately promoting overall wellbeing.

All Hallows’ exciting and innovative transition programme starts from Year 4 working in partnership with our six Catholic feeder primary schools.

Our primary transition ethos reflects a holistic and inclusive approach to supporting students through this significant life change, emphasising continuity, care, guidance and support to reduce anxieties ahead of the transition to All Hallows.

We are pleased to offer extra transition days to vulnerable students who have been identified by their current Primary and the Transition team. This ensures that these vulnerable students have the extra support they require to make the transition to secondary school successful.

If you would like to discuss this further or if you have any questions, please contact the Transition team via our dedicated email address: transition@allhallowsrc.co.uk
