Homework forms an important part of the academic life of every pupil, and school relies on the support of parents/carers in seeing that it is completed.
The amount of homework given and how often it is set will depend on the age and ability of the pupil and the nature of the work being undertaken.
Each year group is provided with a homework timetable (please see the link below) and every pupil is given a journal to record the details and submission dates of all homework set. Parents are asked to review and sign these journals weekly to confirm they are aware of and have seen their children’s homework. For those pupils who have access to the internet at home it may be possible to complete homework on line.
Sanctions will be applied if homework is not completed.
